More money is coming in for AI Healthcare companies… Corti a co-pilot for doctors gets $60M to compete with Microsoft. And Bill Gates (from Microsoft) has just provided a grant of $44M to GE Health from his foundation.

Startup Corti has raised $60 million in a Series B investment led by Prosus Ventures and Atomico.
The company has developed an AI assistant to support healthcare clinicians in real-time patient assessments. Corti claims that its tools can improve accuracy in outcome predictions by up to 40% and administrative tasks by 90%.
The company works with 100 million patients annually and has seen increased usage since the Covid-19 pandemic. Corti's platform was launched in 2018 and initially faced pushback, but the perception of AI in healthcare has since changed.
Critics warn of the potential dangers of over-reliance on AI in medicine, but Corti's investors believe the company can redefine the patient and healthcare experiences. (Read More)

The grant will be used for the development of AI-assisted ultrasound imaging applications and tools.
