Today we review a new Ph.D. program from Harvard Medical School and a report from Morgan Stanley shows investments in AI healthcare are set to increase in 2024

Harvard is launching the first-ever AI in Medicine Ph.D. program called (AIM). And Harvard is not the only organization investing in AI medicine according to a report from Morgan Stanley.

Harvard Medical School's Department of Biomedical is introducing a Ph.D. program called Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (AIM) — aimed at educating future leaders in the intersection of AI and healthcare.
This program is designed to equip computational students with the skills needed to leverage large-scale biomedical data and state-of-the-art AI methods to drive transformative advancements in healthcare.
The AIM Ph.D. track encourages interdisciplinary collaboration across fields like statistics, computer science, bioinformatics, AI, epidemiology, and clinical medicine.
Students will undergo clinical coursework at Harvard Medical School and participate in hospital rotations alongside medical and Ph.D. students from Harvard and MIT.
In addition to the Ph.D. track, Harvard Medical School will launch a Master of Medical Sciences in Biomedical Informatics (MMSc-BMI) degree program in the fall of 2024. (Read More)
