🔬 AI+Voice Diabetes Detection
Today we review research from Klick Labs on detecting Diabetes Type 2 using AI and voice recordings

Happy Tuesday!
A breakthrough in diabetes diagnosis could be coming soon. And all it takes is AI, a smartphone, and some audio…
Let’s Review 👇

A study from Klick Labs published by the Mayo Clinic has found that determining if someone is diabetic can be as simple as having them speak into their smartphone.
By combining voice technology with AI, researchers were able to create an AI model that can accurately detect Type 2 diabetes using just a few seconds of a person's voice and basic health data. The model has an accuracy rate of 89% for women and 86% for men.
Scientists analyzed 14 acoustic features from over 18,000 recordings to find differences between non-diabetic and Type 2 diabetic individuals. Using signal processing, they detected changes in the voice caused by Type 2 diabetes.
According to the International Diabetes Federation, almost 240 million adults with diabetes are unaware they have the condition, and 90% of cases are Type 2 diabetes. (Read More)
